Francesca Bria is currently aTeaching Associate and PhD Researcher in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Imperial College in London, in the digital economy laboratory (http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/digital-economy-lab). She is also a Nesta Associate, working on digital social innovationand collective platforms.

Francesca is investigating issues ranging from social networks and identity systems tonetworked democracy and smart cities. She is a consultant and expert on Innovation policy and Future Internet for the European Commission and the Province of Rome and she is a member of the Internet of Things Council.

Francesca has an MSc in E-business and Innovation from the University College of London, Birkbeck and she is has been working as Teaching Associate at London Business School and Queen Mary University in London.
