Nadia EL-Imam is the founder of Edgeryders, a distributed policy think-tank of citizen experts, combining the intense focus and rigor of consultancy with the scale, openness and democratic legitimacy of citizen consultation.

As an engineer and designer Nadia is interested in using digital technologies to address complex societal challenges. Before joining the council of Europe as Creative Director of the Edgeryders project, Nadia's cv included senior creative roles in advertising agencies, lecturing at university and working as a cook. She had also failed at many things
including a startup.

Nadia studied Human-Computer Interaction at the Royal Institute of Technology, Cognitive Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet as well as Interactive Art Direction at Hyper Island, in Stockholm Sweden. She has lived in France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Switzerland, and Kuwait.
